👨‍👧A father holds his daughter’s hand for a short while, but he holds her heart forever. 💕 . . I never really share stories about my family life, but here I am today... 💁🏻‍♀️ As a young girl I only saw my father every now and then because he divorced my mother when I was born. As a child, I remember my father as a good stranger, kind of like a Santa Claus 🎅🏼 who came with presents and diners, a kind man who seemed far more generous than my hardworking single mother did, but I never really got closely connected to him and I do not remember myself spending much precious moments with him. Instead of growing towards each other while I got older, we lost contact and we did not see each other for years... 💔 . . 2 years ago I decided to look for my father again, as an ultimate intent of bounding and deconstructing invisible boundaries.... 💫 As if a miracle happened, we met and kept meeting ever since. I am now blessed to live in his house whenever I am Belgium, we are talking often and we try to meet when we can. Finally, we are creating father-daughter time that I missed so much as a child. And we discover how much we are like each other! 😂🙏🏼 . . Another 2 months ago I started an Unlimited Abundance 💥online program by the amazing @christiemariesheldon of @mindvalley . 🔥 Ever since, I cannot count my tears of inner growth, gratitude and joy. 😭 My life is changing hardcore for the better: I am manifesting abundance, not only in terms of money 💰and love 💖 for life, but also I am losing many old ways and sights to make place for new directions and priorities in life that mean true wealth: freedom and love. 💫 . . . This morning, my father called me to invite me on a journey to Tenerife NEXTH month. ✈️ Yet another FREE trip I have been given this year (I am counting my blessings!), but also this was one of the things I was manifesting in my meditations with Christie. 😱 . . I am so grateful that I will finally have the chance to spend TIME with my dad, travel with him, who knows take a picture with him 📸 😜 and learn from his wisdom, and make him proud of the girl he brought to earth 🌎 . . It’s our time! 🔥😍 Finally ❤️ Thank you, dad! 😭

Look Up ⬆️ Get Up 👣 & Never Give Up 💪🏼 . . My dreams are always bigger than my fear, and that is why I mostly managed to make my dreams to travel, study and work abroad come true. 🤩 . . I have studied in Belgium, Spain, the USA, Finland, Mauritius and Cuba... and all of that during my BA and MA. . . I have worked abroad as well: in Spain, Ecuador, Cambodia, Portugal and I am planning to work abroad in Australia before I turn 30 too! . . I have traveled to 33 countries in less than 10 years, isn’t that massive given the fact that I never really traveled ✈️ by plane before I turned 18 😱?! . . I did all of that on a small budget, with scholarships, grants, sometimes even for free or paid (💸) and mostly with savings I collected by working hard in between projects and days at school. 🔥 . . . So, if people tell me they don’t understand how I do it but they want to do it too and don’t succeed, I tell them their dreams are not big enough! ❌ . . And when people judge me for being hyper energetic, super rational and effective, structured and money-minded, mostly opportunistic, I ask them to look to their own achievements and goal digging 🤑 before they compare those to my strategies. . . So, look up! Move on! Go for it! And never give up on those dreams, and remember good things are on the way when you have to wake up to go to work on a rainy day! 🤗 . . If you can’t change your circumstances, change your perspective. 💫 . . . You might have noticed that I haven’t been so active on social media as usual over the past weeks. My life has changed from one minute to another... 😱 . . The company I worked for ( @thomascookoverseas ) went bankrupt as I moved from one destination ( #Mallorca ) to another ( #Portugal ) to start a new season in tourism industry. . . Suddenly I was sent “home” to #Belgium with a one way ticket and no job without a plan or salary. Luckily, I still have a house to return to, but it doesn’t feel like a home for my #gypsysoul. 😔 My social life has burned out in my home country over the years as I have spent more time abroad than “home”. The saying that ‘home is where the heart is’ definitely applies to my life. I leave pieces of my heart in many beautiful places and with inspiring people I meet all over the world. 💛 . . I would never want to change my nomadic life for a sedentary way of living, I realize that more each time I return to a rainy country like Belgium. I might have roots there, but I lack a sense of belonging and feel restless and uninspired there. The more I feel connected with the world, the less I feel it with home. As if I were a #thirdculturekid stuck between roots and routes. 🗺 . . I came to realize that the world is my home, and I feel homesick when I am put in a house which society labels as home. I need roads and rivers to float and fly and feel alive. I need a journey to feel inspired because a destination in itself feels like an end point... ⚓️ . . So... here I am, changing my perspective and daily projects once again, collecting as much 💸 as I can to leave as soon as I can on a journey of freedom and travel. . . Returning to Belgium was the only option for now, it seems, the universe decided... but there is always the choice to redirect my navigation... 😇 . . And suddenly it all becomes a memory.... 😢 The past days have been insane. 😱 The oldest tour operator in the world, #thomascook 💛, went bankrupt. It was my employer and I was one of their proud influencers promoting holidays for the new generation of travelers. 🍀🌎✈️ It is unbelievable how such an institution can dissappear from one day to another. No one ever imagined that this could happen! 💔 There were of course talks about Chinese investors who were going to blow new life and capital in the company, but no one ever imagined there to be so many debts. 🆘 The situation is simply surreal as many people are affected by this collapse: from the tourists to receptionists, from transfer bus drivers to restaurant waiters and cleaning ladies.... My thoughts go to all of those who lose something this week: their holiday, their job, their life and their dreams. 💛😱 Has the bankruptcy of Thomas Cook impact on your life or holiday?
